The Arc of Winnebago, Boone & Ogle Counties needs you if you want to help people with developmental disabilities make friends, enjoy their community and have a good time.
If you have a few hours a week or a month and are age 18 or over, with no criminal background, we'd love to hear from you.
Here are a few of the volunteer opportunities available:
  1. Artists - We have weekly art classes on Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 5 pm. For any media
  2. Craft people - Monday afternoons from 3:30 to 5 pm. Seasonal arts and crafts in all media
  3. EBayers needed to organize fundraising on EBay
  4. Jewelry makers - assist our Beadware artists in designing, making and marketing jewelry and home décor items.
  5. People to assist at art shows
  6. Help us with our major fundraiser, The Great Home Giveaway.
  7. Help us with your time, treasures and trash for our annual Treasures and Trash Sale in March.
  8. Tutors for functional reading and math skills
  9. Computer tutors
10. Greeters/set up and tear down help for Dances and other social activities
11. Clerical help for mailings and newsletters
12. Gardening assistance
